WALK BLOG #7-Touchdowns for Wishes

WFW_Blog6
Screaming at the television, finger foods, beer, wings, jerseys, tailgates and green black and white everywhere can only mean one thing, it’s football season. If you are an Eagles fan we know you will be watching the game somehow, somewhere on Sundays, so why not fundraise for the walk while cheering on your favorite team? If you aren’t an Eagles fan, we’ll let it slide; we can all come together by watching some football and raising money for Walk for Wishes®.

A love letter to our volunteers

Staff thank you
National Volunteer Week, a program established by Points of Light in 1974, is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.

Volunteers aren't just individuals!

Tony's wish reveal party
As recognition of our amazing volunteers continues during National Volunteer Week, we realize that often when you think of volunteers, you think of individuals. At our chapter, we know that our volunteers come in all shapes and sizes and from all different areas. Our corporate volunteers are able to do amazing things for our wish kids with large groups of employees that may not be possible for individual volunteers to accomplish.
