Wishmakers At Work®

About Wishmakers At Work®

Wishmakers At Work is Make-A-Wish’s employee branded giving program and a great way to introduce charitable giving to your company. The program can also be incorporated into an existing workplace giving campaign. To get you started, we can provide you with materials and templates to help launch, market, and manage this program. Ideas include: payroll deduction, company matching gifts, donations of frequent flier miles, Jean for Wishes® and internal fundraising events. To discuss Wishmakers At Work and request access to our WAW website, contact Karen Traten @ ktraten@philadelphia.wish.org.

Benefits to your company

By introducing a Wishmakers at Work program at your company to benefit Make-A-Wish, you would be doing more than just a nice thing – you would be making work more purposeful and helping change the lives of everyone involved in wish experiences, forever.

Social Responsibility

Social responsibility plays an increasingly important role in advancing companies’ strategic business objectives and building goodwill among employees. Employees want to know that their employer cares about the communities in which it operates, and that it is committed to making a measurable difference for those who live and work in those areas.

Seventy-three percent of Americans want their employers to do more to support a cause or social issue. -- 2010 Cone Cause Evolution Survey

Brand Recognition

Make-A-Wish is the world's largest wish-granting organization and stands as one of the most recognized and most trusted charities in America. Our reputation is the result of a more than 30-year commitment to granting amazing and unique wishes that change lives for wish kids, their families, and everyone else involved in the experience - more than 220,000 wishes since 1980 and around 14,000 last year alone. That's a wish granted, on average, every 38 minutes. And every wish impacts dozens, sometimes hundreds of people, forever.

Enhanced Employee Morale

Employees feel good about working for a company that demonstrates care for the community, and their direct engagement in cause-corporate programs can have a profound influence on how they view the importance and purpose of their work.

97% of volunteers surveyed reported feeling more grateful and thankful as a result of helping to grant  a  child's wish. -- 2010 Wish Impact Study

Increased Employee Loyalty

Rallying employees around a great cause can engender long-term commitment to the company and pride in their employer.

81% of employees state that a company's commitment to social issues is important when deciding where to work. -- 2010 Cone Cause Evolution Survey

Benefits to Make-A-Wish

Wishmaker at Work campaigns help generate resources and support that are essential for wish granting in local communities throughout the United States.

Critical Wish-Granting Funds

Your support helps us move ever closer to achieving our ultimate vision of granting the wish of every eligible child. By raising funds through a Wishmaker at Work campaign, you can help change lives, forever.

Volunteer Support

Wishes are only made possible through the time and talent of more than 25,000 Make-A-Wish volunteers who support our local chapters across the country. Whether you volunteer in a wish-granting, event coordination, outreach, or administrative capacity, you help us direct as much of our resources to reaching more kids with life-threatening medical conditions and granting their one heartfelt wish.
